Ofelia Aleman
was born August
14, 1947 in
Valle Hermoso,
Mexico to
Epifanio and
Maria Roque. She
was raised in
Texas and moved
to California
with her family
in 1959. Ofelia
was part of the
1966 graduating
class of Arvin
High School.
Soon after, she
married the love
of her life,
Felipe Aleman.
They just
celebrated 42
years of
marriage. Ofelia
is survived by
her loving
husband, Felipe
Aleman and five
children, Mary
Aleman, Felipe
Aleman Jr. and
wife Dawn,
Arturo Aleman
and wife Mila
Aleman, Melissa
Aleman Britt and
Christina Aleman
all of
Bakersfield. She
is also survived
by 14
grandchildren,
Erica, Shaley,
Allison, Bobby,
Julie,
Christyonna,
Victoria, Katie,
Joseph, McKayla,
Samantha,
Dallas, Natalie
and Nathan. Also
surviving Ofelia

Efren Jose Roque
and sister Lupe
Dillard. She is
preceded in
death by her
parents,
Epifanio and
Maria Roque; her
mother-in-law,
Eusebia Aleman;
and her nephew,
Raymond Aleman.
Also welcoming
her into Heaven
are her
brothers, Juan
Roque and Efren
Roque. Ofelia
was truly a
loving wife and
dedicated
mother. She was
a stay at home
mom who
perfected the
art of
homemaker. She
went over and
beyond in
everything she
did. She had an
unforgettable
spirit and loved
everyone.
Anytime anyone
needed anything,
she would be
there to lend a
helping hand.
When she was
blessed with
grandchildren,
she was an
excellent
grandmother who
loved her
grandchildren
with her entire
heart. She would
have done
anything for
them. Ofelia
loved spending
time with her
family and going
for walks. She
was famous for
walking so fast
she would leave
people behind.
She had a
tremendous
amount of energy
and would always
dance around the
house to her
Spanish music or
her oldies.
Ofelia was a
remarkable woman
who will be
missed. She was
fortunate enough
to have her
husband at her
side taking the
greatest care of
her when she
became ill. She
suffered a great
deal in her last
years here on
Earth, but had
her husband
right by her
side. May she
rest in peace in
the arms of
Jesus.
Recitation of
the Rosary will
be said on
Thursday, June
18, 6:00 p.m. at

Southwest
Mortuary Chapel.
